The family calendar
Updated 18 October 2026
The family calendar is shared by everyone in your household. Events show on Today and in the morning brief, and everyone with notifications on gets a heads-up within the hour before an event with a time.
The family calendar works on every plan.
Add an event
- Tell PelQi: "Oliver has football every Saturday at 10" or "dentist for Lily on Tuesday at 4".
- Or open the calendar (search for calendar, or Settings and the Calendar tab). Fill in What, the date and time, and Who (Everyone, or one person), then choose Add to calendar.
- To remove an event you added, choose Remove beside it.
What it can and cannot do
- The family calendar is shared by everyone at home.
- Children can see it but cannot add events.
- Everyone at home with notifications on gets a heads-up within the hour before a timed event.
- Your own Outlook or Google events show only to you, never to the household.
What you should see
Events listed by day with the time and who they are for. Events from a school or club calendar you follow say "From" and the calendar's name; they update by themselves and cannot be removed here.
More calendars
- Put the family calendar in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook: Share the family calendar.
- Follow a school, team or club calendar: Follow a calendar.
- See your own Outlook or Google calendar beside it: Microsoft account or Google Calendar. Only you see those.
If it does not work
- Children can see the calendar but cannot add events.
- No heads-up before an event: the event needs a time, and notifications must be on for that device. See Notifications are not arriving.
