Add PelQi to your iPhone or iPad Home Screen

Updated 18 October 2026

On iPhone and iPad, adding PelQi to your Home Screen from Safari gives you a PelQi icon that opens full screen, like any app. Apple only lets home-screen web apps send notifications, so this is also how you turn notifications on without the iPhone app.

Every plan

Add it

  • Open app.pelqi.com in Safari and sign in.
  • Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up). On iPhone it is at the bottom of the screen; on iPad it is at the top.
  • Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
  • Close Safari and open PelQi from its new icon on your Home Screen.
  • To get notifications, open Settings from your account (the ring with your initial), go to You, then Notifications, and tap Turn on for this device. Allow notifications when iPhone asks. Send a test checks it works.

PelQi also offers this itself: in Safari a small Add PelQi to your Home Screen button appears near the top of the chat. Tap it for a reminder of these steps, or tap the cross to hide it.

What you should see

A PelQi icon on your Home Screen. It opens without Safari's address bar, and the long press menu on the icon offers Kitchen mode. You stay signed in, and your chats are the same as on every other device.

If it does not work

  • No Add to Home Screen option: make sure you are in Safari. On recent iOS versions other browsers can add to the Home Screen too, but Safari always can.
  • Notifications cannot be turned on: you must open PelQi from the Home Screen icon, not from Safari. See Notifications are not arriving.
  • The icon opens an old version: see Refresh or update PelQi.
