Microsoft "did not allow" PelQi
Updated 18 October 2026
When you connect your Microsoft account in Connections, Microsoft asks you to sign in and agree. If it ends without connecting, PelQi shows a message saying why. The most general one is "Microsoft did not allow the connection. Try again, or try a personal Microsoft account."
What each message means
- "Microsoft sign-in was cancelled, so nothing was connected." You chose Cancel or did not accept on Microsoft's screen. Choose Connect Microsoft account again and accept. Microsoft shows PelQi Home as unverified: see Why Microsoft says "unverified".
- "Your organisation needs an administrator to approve PelQi Home before you can connect this account. A personal Microsoft account (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live) works without that." Your work or school does not let people approve apps themselves. Ask your IT administrator, or connect a personal account instead. See When your organisation blocks PelQi.
- "Your organisation does not allow PelQi Home to sign in with this account." A rule at your work or school blocks the sign-in (for example, only managed devices). Only your IT team can change that.
- "That sign-in expired. Try connecting again." More than ten minutes passed between starting and finishing. Start again.
- "Finish connecting in the same PelQi profile you started from." You started in one PelQi profile and finished in another (for example, a child's profile was open). Go back to your own PelQi and connect again.
- "Microsoft did not answer. Try again in a minute." Microsoft did not respond. Wait a minute and try again.
- "Microsoft accounts are not switched on yet. Try again soon." The connection is briefly off on PelQi's side. Try again later.
"Microsoft asked to sign in again"
After you change your Microsoft password, remove PelQi Home on Microsoft's side, or after a long time, Connections shows "Microsoft asked to sign in again. Reconnect to carry on." Choose Reconnect and sign in. Until then PelQi says "Your Microsoft account needs connecting again in PelQi, under Connections."
Plans
Connecting your Microsoft account is part of Plus, Family and Max, for grown-ups. On Free, Connections offers See plans instead. If your plan changes and no longer includes it, Connections says it is paused; nothing is read until it does.
What you should see
Connections shows your account with "Personal Microsoft account, read only" or "Work or school account, read only", when it was last checked and how many calendar entries it found this week.
If it still does not work
