The message box: Stop, Continue, Edit, Retry and the queue

Updated 18 October 2026

The message box works like the best chat apps: you can stop PelQi while it answers, pick up where it left off, change what you asked, ask again, and line up your next message while PelQi is still talking.

Stop, Edit and Retry work on every plan. The queue comes with Plus, Family and Max.

Stop and Continue

  • While PelQi answers, the Send button becomes a Stop square. Tap it, or press Escape in the message box.
  • PelQi keeps what it had said so far and marks it "You stopped this reply". Only what was written counts toward your allowance.
  • On the newest stopped reply, choose Continue and PelQi carries on from exactly where it stopped, in the same message.

Edit and Retry

  • Under a message you sent, choose Edit. Change the words and send: PelQi answers the new version from that point. A photo that went with it stays.
  • Under a reply, choose Retry to ask again from the same point. The old reply is kept.
  • Edits and retries become versions. Arrows with "2 / 3" appear under the reply; use them to switch, and the chat carries on from the version on screen.

Queue your next message

  • While PelQi is still answering, type your next message and press Enter. The button shows Queue instead of Send.
  • Waiting messages show above the box in order, each with Edit and Remove. PelQi sends the first one as soon as the reply ends, then the next.
  • Queued messages are kept on the server, so a reload does not lose them. Plus and Family can queue 10 at once, Max 20.

What it can and cannot do

  • Stop keeps what PelQi had said so far and counts only that.
  • Edit and Retry keep the old version; the arrows under the reply switch between versions.
  • The queue holds up to 10 messages on Plus and Family and 20 on Max, kept even if you reload.
  • On Free, Enter while PelQi answers explains the queue and keeps your words.

What you should see

On Free, pressing Enter while PelQi answers explains the queue and keeps your words in the box; the button still stops the reply.

If it does not work

  • Continue is missing: it is only on the newest reply you stopped.
  • A command or file was refused on retry: a retry or edit is checked again against your plan, so something your plan no longer includes is refused. See Plans compared.
  • "That message is ... characters": PelQi takes up to 2,000 characters in one message. Your words stay in the box: shorten them, send them in parts, or on Plus, Family and Max attach a long text as a file.
  • PelQi could not answer: the reply says why ("PelQi is very busy right now", "I lost my train of thought"). Choose Send again under it to send the same words, without typing them again.
  • The connection dropped while PelQi answered: PelQi finishes the reply anyway. Once you are connected again the chat shows it; if it was lost, Send again appears.
