Follow a school, team or club calendar
Updated 18 October 2026
Many schools, sports clubs and teams publish their calendar as an ICS, iCal or webcal link. Give PelQi the link and their dates show in your family calendar, marked with where they came from, and PelQi keeps them in mind for your brief and reminders.
Every plan. Grown-ups follow calendars; everyone at home sees the dates.
Find the link
- On the school's or club's website, look for Subscribe, iCal, ICS or webcal. Copy the link address, not the page you are on.
- The link must start with https:// or webcal://.
Follow it
- Open Connections from your account menu (or Settings, Calendar) and find Calendars PelQi follows.
- Type a Name, like Lincoln Elementary.
- Paste the Link.
- Choose Follow calendar. PelQi reads it straight away.
What it can and cannot do
- It reads dates from a week back to 180 days ahead, including repeating events, moved dates and cancellations, and checks again every six hours.
- Up to 8 followed calendars per household.
- It only reads links on the public internet that start with https or webcal, and cannot sign in to a calendar that needs a password.
- Followed dates show in the family calendar but cannot be removed one by one; stop following the calendar instead.
What you should see
"Following Lincoln Elementary: 42 dates" (with your own name and count). The calendar is listed with how many dates it has and when it was last updated, and its events show in the family calendar marked "From Lincoln Elementary". PelQi checks it again every six hours. A household can follow up to 8 calendars. Choose Stop following to remove one.
If it does not work
- "That link is a web page, not a calendar." You copied the page address. Look for the ICS, iCal or webcal link itself.
- "PelQi follows calendar links that start with https or webcal." Links starting with http:// are refused.
- "That link is not on the public internet." PelQi can only read calendars anyone on the internet can reach.
- "That calendar link was not found. Copy it again from the website." The address changed or was cut short.
- A calendar shows an error in the list: PelQi keeps its last dates and tries again in six hours.
- Only grown-ups can follow or stop following calendars.
