Daily allowances in plain terms

Updated 18 October 2026

Each plan includes a daily allowance of conversation, photos and read aloud. PelQi shows it as a percentage, never in tokens, and it starts again at midnight where you are. It does not carry over.

How much a day

  • Free: about 25 everyday messages a day, shared by everyone at home on Free. Fewer when PelQi searches the web or writes long answers. 3 photos a day and a few minutes of read aloud.
  • Plus: about four times as much as Free, just for you, and 40 photos a day.
  • Family: the same as Plus for each person at home.
  • Max: about six times Free for the person who pays, and Family for everyone else at home.

What uses it, and what does not

  • Uses more: long answers, web searches, Research, photos, files and Thorough replies. Each web search PelQi runs counts on top of the reply itself, in chat, Research and tasks.
  • Uses nothing: timers and alarms, plain reminders, announcements, plain smart home requests like "turn off the kitchen lights", routines without an "Ask PelQi" step, and PelQi's hello when you open it.

See how much is left

  • Look at the thin ring in the message box: it fills as you use the day, turning amber from 80 percent.
  • Tap it, or type /usage, for the usage card: today's chat, when it resets, photos and read aloud today.
  • For the full picture, open your account menu and choose Plan and usage. Plus, Family and Max also see the last seven days.

What you should see

"Today's chat" with a percentage and "Resets at midnight your time". On Free you see "Today's chat, shared by" and how many people at home share it.

If the allowance runs out while PelQi is still working on a reply, it stops before its next step, keeps what it has said so far and ends with a line saying so. Research pauses the same way, at the daily allowance or this month's fair-use allowance where your plan has one.
