Who a plan covers at home
Updated 18 October 2026
Plans and households work together. Some plans cover just you, and some cover everyone at home.
How it works
- Free: everyone at home who is on Free, grown-ups and children, shares one daily chat allowance.
- Plus: covers only the person who pays. Others at home keep their own plan, and Plus never covers children.
- Family: if anyone at home has Family, everyone else in the household is on Family too, children included, each with their own allowance.
- Max: the person who pays gets Max; everyone else at home gets Family.
- Family and Max homes hold up to 6 people and up to 4 children. Free and Plus homes hold up to 3 people and 1 child.
Check who is covered
- Open your account menu and choose Plan and usage.
- Look under At home: each person, their plan, and who pays.
What you should see
If someone else pays, your plan says "Yours through your household" with their first name. On Free you see "Everyone at home on Free shares one daily allowance" and how many people.
If it does not work
- If someone should be covered but is not, check they joined your household (see Set up your household).
- Leaving a household moves you back to your own plan.
