When your organisation blocks PelQi
Updated 18 October 2026
Work and school Microsoft accounts belong to an organisation, and the organisation decides which apps its people may connect. Many allow apps that only read your own mail and calendar; some ask for an administrator, and some block apps like PelQi Home completely.
What you might see
- On Microsoft's page: Need admin approval, or a request to ask your administrator.
- Back in PelQi: "Your organisation needs an administrator to approve PelQi Home before you can connect this account. A personal Microsoft account (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live) works without that."
- Or: "Your organisation does not allow PelQi Home to sign in with this account."
What you can do
- Use a personal Microsoft account instead, if your calendar lives there too. Choose Connect Microsoft account again and pick the personal account on Microsoft's page.
- Or ask your IT team whether they will approve PelQi Home. Tell them it asks only for delegated, read-only access to your own profile, mail and calendars (User.Read, Mail.Read, Calendars.Read and offline access), and needs no administrator-only permissions.
- If they approve it, connect again from Connections.
What you should see
Once an account is allowed, Microsoft lets you choose Accept and PelQi shows the account as connected.
If it does not work
- PelQi cannot get round an organisation's decision, and neither can we. If the organisation says no, that account cannot be connected.
- If the message says sign-in was cancelled rather than blocked, see Microsoft "did not allow" PelQi.
